About Sunshine Beach
Five minutes from Noosa Heads is a wide open beach where you can take a cool dip in, surf the awesome waves and even have surfing lessons provided for you at this renowned beach famous for its laid-back style. Sunshine Beach is exactly that, a popular spot by locals and tourists alike. At one time, it was called the Golden Beach. Sand, surf, boutiques and restaurants dot this area now known as Sunshine Beach.
The Sunshine Beach Surf Lifesaving Club is a big deal here. Volunteers from this club patrol the beach every single weekend all year round to keep everyone safe. Tourists and locals can always feel safe going into the waters.
The Sunshine Beach Surf Club is also big for views of the ocean at its award-winning restaurant. There are many other places to eat as well. With so much fresh local food that is prepared by the brilliant and talented chefs in the area, it’s no wonder there is something for everyone’s tastes. Many beach bars dot the coastal landscape where you can order your favorite drink and settle in anywhere along the beach. It may be an outside place where you can watch everyone come and go or sitting in one of the many couches at a beach bar. There’s always room to have a beverage at the many cafe’s and bars, whether it’s an adult beverage or coffee made on-site from roasted beans. Relax, unwind and enjoyment set the tone here.
Dolphins and whales can be spotted in the water and the best place to see them is from the deck of the Surf Club that overlooks the waters. Boutiques and surf shops, along with many gift shops are among the many places to visit. Duke Street attracts not only tourists but many locals with so many cafes and restaurants you could spend almost all day trying to get through them all.
Sunshine Beach offers such a diverse experience for all who visit. It’s such a relaxing and fun atmosphere, you’ll have to come back again and again because you will never get enough of this paradise.
