Noosa offers fantastic diving on the pristine coral reefs only 3kms off Noosa National Park

Jew Shoal reef covers approx. 20 hectares and has a varied topography of pinnacles and swimthroughs and fascinating marine life. Maximum depth is 18-25 metres, perfect for open water divers and students.

There's plenty to see in the waters off the Sunshine Coast also. There are close in, relatively shallow reefs and bombies plus colourful coral grounds within sight of shore. Add to that the recently established wreck dive of the HMAS Brisbane and it's a diver's paradise.

The ex-HMAS Brisbane is the only purpose designed dive wreck in Australia where you can actually dive inside the engine and boiler rooms!

The quality of the wreck dive site, just North of Mooloolaba, has exceeded all expectations.

Within weeks an assorted variety of marine life has begun to call the ex-HMAS Brisbane home with prolific growth of corals over most of the structure and schools of whiting, yellowtail kingfish and cuttlefish around the upper decks and underneath the stern.

The magnificent 133 metre guided missile destroyer has settled perfectly upright on the sand bed in around 27 metres.

It provides a unique opportunity for Open Water Divers to safely and easily explore this incredible site. With the top of the funnel only 3.5 metres below the surface and the multi-tiered superstructure and gun turrets on the main deck all within a maximum of 18 metres this “wreck” dive is one of the most easily accessible in the country.

Blue Water Dive offers the ultimate in diving comfort aboard their 15 metre dive vessel.

It is anticipated that this particular dive site will soon become Australia’s premier wreck dive destination so book in early with Blue Water Dive to be one of the first to dive on her!
