Noosa's Main Beach is one of the few beaches along Australia's coastline that faces north. Because of its sheltered position, Main Beach provides calmer waters than the eastern beaches. Waves are rarely over a metre in height, and a flat sandy ocean bottom provide for a safe opportunity for families and young children to enjoy the ocean. The moderate waves are a great advantage for novice surfers also. Pods of Dolphins are a regular sighting. The Main Beach is patrolled daily all year round by Noosa Heads Surf Life Saving Club. The main swimming area is between the flags infront of the surf club.

We recommend to take an early morning walk through Noosa National Park along the coastal track, followed by a refreshing swim at Main Beach. It will most certainly be one of the highlights of your trip!

Noosa’s famous Hastings Street has undergone a major redesign and upgrade this year and the word is out... it looks fantastic and the street is welcoming all visitors to Noosa! The redesign boasts new pedestrian walkways, easier street crossings and the creation of five new shared zones that link the beach access points on Hastings Street. A new range of public artworks and more seating areas have also been included. The makeover has remained in line with the street’s infamous chic appeal while retaining a village feel with a natural canopy that lines the street.
