As a laid back, family atmosphere where there’s plenty to do, Noosaville is the destination for spending the holidays along the Sunshine Coast. The clear waters are safe for swimming and there's plenty of water activities since Lake Weyba is part of Noosaville. The area has parklands, nature reserves and many canals throughout the area.
Considered a lively area, the cafes and many places to eat along the waterfront are so diverse you can sample all kinds of cuisine from all over the world. Even locals find Noosaville as a place to retreat from the hardships of the day. Tourists come back over and over again, retreating to Gympie Terrace and Thomas Street, two of the most popular locations for food fare. These two places are a must to explore when visiting Noosaville.
There are plenty of riverfront parks to explore also. Sitting outside a cafe along the river or swimming in the calm waters of the Noosa River is bliss. Jumping on a ferry to explore the river is not uncommon. Pontoon boats run on the water, usually filled with groups of people wanting a party like atmosphere. Even romantic gondolas dot the river as lovers watch the sun fade away each evening. Rollerskaters and walkers, kayaks in the water and shoppers and tourists bring a tiny feeling of hustle and bustle to this laid-back area. It’s a good feeling, not overwhelming or too much that it kills the atmosphere.
This destination, north of Brisbane, is considered sophisticated and yet relaxed at the same time. Perfect for getaways, whether you’re planning romance or a family holiday, Noosaville is filled with plenty to do. Like shopping. There are so many boutiques that retail almost anything you can imagine. Shoes, beachwear, surf boards and clothes can be found in the stores along the river, no matter the occasion.
The watercraft in Noosaville is incredible. All along the different locations, anyone can hire someone to take them on the river. From the Ferry that runs daily to private crafts, there is never a shortage of means to get out in the water.
